
oVRcome | PR, Stakeholder Engagement & Communications Campaign
oVRcome is a PR-led campaign delivered by These Guys I Know, combining strategic communications, stakeholder engagement, and storytelling to support brand positioning and capital raise activity. The work demonstrates how PR and communications can build awareness, align stakeholders, and create momentum around a clear strategic narrative.
Stakeholder Engagement and Communications Strategy
A key component of the oVRcome campaign was stakeholder engagement, supporting communications during a capital raise and ensuring alignment across key audiences. This involved shaping messaging, managing communications, and supporting engagement with stakeholders to build confidence and clarity around the opportunity.
This work demonstrates our ability to operate beyond traditional PR, delivering strategic communications that support business outcomes and investment activity.
PR and Media Relations Approach
Alongside stakeholder engagement, the campaign was supported by a strategic PR and media relations approach, using storytelling and communications to build awareness and drive engagement. oVRcome is a New Zealand-developed app utilizing virtual reality (VR) technology to treat anxiety and phobias. These Guys I Know has worked with founder Adam Hutchinson since launch of oVRcome to position and engage markets via extensive publicity pushes both in New Zealand and internationally, and stakeholder engagement during capital raise. We have delivered well over $1million worth of press coverage including communication of results from two clinical trials (in partnership with Otago University and University of Canterbury respectively) which proved oVRcome’s efficacy with patients. Our work with oVRcome has resulted in coverage including multiple news pieces (One News, Seven Sharp, The Project, TVNZ Breakfast) international medical journals, The Guardian, live radio and online coverage including all national news sites including New Zealand Herald, RNZ and Stuff.
